All the admission procedures at Aftab Surgery Center are as follows:
The patient is examined by a doctor at an office or a specialist clinic. If no hospitalization is required, the patient will leave the clinic on an outpatient basis with the physician’s prescription. Otherwise, the patient will be referred to the admission ward for surgery. According to the hospitalization orders and also the type of surgery required for the patient, the Patient Care Record (PCR) is documented and the patient is admitted an Ophthalmology department or a general surgery department. After referring to the related department, the patient and the case report are delivered to the shift supervisor who puts the patient in the waitlist after doing required controls and preparations and then after requesting, the patient is transferred to operating theater. After surgery the patient is taken to recovery room to regain consciousness, after stabilization and necessary coordination, the patient is taken to and monitored in the relevant ward. If partially recovered and discharged by physician, the patient’s case report is collected and delivered to the discharge unit. Patient companion is then directed to the discharge unit to go through the discharge process, after finishing the process and delivering the summary care records (SCR) and the Release Form to the relevant department, the patient is able to leave the surgical center.
